STRATEGIES TO BUILD SUCCESSFUL PARTNERSHIPS: BEST PRACTICES AND RECOMMENDED

Overview

Successful partnerships have been proven to enhance the effectiveness and visibility of non-profit organizations and their programs.   They can help you to cost-effectively provide your target audiences with high-quality goods, services and information.   As the non-profit environment becomes increasingly interconnected, selecting and managing the right partners is more and more of a strategic imperative.  This is particularly relevant in the healthcare field where the complexity and potential severity of the issues being addressed often require multiple experiences and organizations to join forces.  Whether you are considering a public-private partnership, a coalition of non-profit organizations, a multidisciplinary project board, or you are seeking corporate funds, this workshop will help you:

o     Learn the dos and don’ts of building and managing successful partnerships
o     Review case study experience on what makes partnership-based programs succeed or fail
o     Evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of potential partnerships
o     Understand and manage potential drawbacks of partnerships
o     Learn how to remove common roadblocks
o     Review different types of partnerships (including public-private partnerships; working with
commercial partners; coalitions, etc.) as well as relevant resources, case studies, examples
o     Understand how to develop a partnership plan as part of the overall strategic and
       communications plans

Bring examples, questions and case studies from your organization to be used as a framework to be applied to key elements of a potential partnership plan.
